Nairong Du is a PhD student in Geological Engineering. She is currently working on a NSF-funded project about mechanics of viscous damage zones along rough faults. Before coming to UW-Madison, she worked on fault surface modeling at the Earth Observatory of Singapore as an undergraduate student. She hold a BS (2022) in Environmental Earth System Science (Geoscience) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
